The actress on being voted the sexiest woman and her forthcoming release Singh is Kinng
So FHM says you’re the sexiest woman in the world.
It was a very sweet thing. Your supporters and fans show you how much they like you. So it’s very special.
Has it deepened your faith in online polls?
Oh no no! These things are not to be taken very seriously. You accept it and feel good but there’s no need to go over the top.
You’re the most searched Indian celebrity on the web. Who do you google?
It’s nice to know that people want to know more about you, check out your releases etc. I google whenever I want information like the name of a place or a medicine.
Does fame affect your everyday life?
Only sometimes when you’re low and want to hide in a corner. We work for acknowledgement and that gives you a nice feeling.
You’ve had five hits. What was the most difficult point in your career?
I took small steps to find where I wanted to go, not get to the top and not know where to go.
You’re one of Bollywood’s biggest celebs, but you seem to stay so down to earth. How?
One shouldn’t take all this too seriously. You’re on the top one day and down another day so enjoy it and have fun.
Singh is Kinng is around the corner. Tell us about it.
A fun film. It shows a different kind of chemistry. Hopefully audiences will like it.
Ah ha! You and Akshay again...
Yes, well it’s something audiences like. I hope we can continue to entertain people.
Any career ambitions—award, actors you’d like to work with, roles to play?
All of us want good scripts, good films.
If not acting, what would you love to master?
Our profession is so hectic that in my free time I just want to chill, watch a film.
